Prostitution den discovered in Tirana/ Arrested 52-year-old woman who exploited

The Tirana police discovered a prostitution den where LS, 52 years old, was arrested as a pimp.

The investigations showed that the 52-year-old woman was used for prostitution, OB, 34 years old, M. Dh., 19 years old and MB, 20 years old.

The 52-year-old managed a bar on "Kastriotët" street in Tirana with various clients.

Police notification:

The police operation coded "Red light", by the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic in the DVP Tirana, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, is finalized.

The 52-year-old was arrested for using several citizens for prostitution in her bar.

Another citizen is also arrested for prostitution and 2 others are prosecuted.

2 vehicles, 2 mobile devices and sums of money, suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity, are seized.

Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, in the framework of a criminal proceeding of 2023, followed by special investigation methods, have organized and finalized the police operation coded "Red light".

Within this operation:

- the LS citizen, 52 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested for the criminal offenses "Prostitution", "Operation of prostitution", and "Owning premises for prostitution";

- the UK citizen, 20 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested for the criminal offense "Prostitution";

- OB citizens, 34 years old, and M. Dh., 19 years old, were criminally prosecuted.

From the investigative actions carried out, it was found that the LS citizen manages a bar on "Kastriotët" street, in which she kept MB, OB, and M.D. citizens, and used them for prostitution, with various clients of the bar.

As material evidence, 2 vehicles, 2 mobile devices and sums of money, suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity, were seized./ CNA
