The National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies announces that during the last 24 hours, 23 fires have been reported, of which it has been possible to isolate 19 of them. According to the latest data from this center, the fire remains active in the waste collection site of the Municipality of Vlora, for which the capacities at the district level, supported by the capacities of the central government and private entities, have been engaged.

Another active fire is the one in Malecaj village of Lezhë municipality, which today continues with low intensity. During the last evening, it was possible to avoid the risk of fire spreading to the Shqut and Ish Kampi neighborhoods of this village.

In this municipality, the fire in the village of Torovicë is nearing its final extinction. Local government structures supported by FA are continuing the operation.

Meanwhile, the fire station in the village of Kameras in the Municipality of Durrës continues to remain active. During the day yesterday, the firefighting forces from the capacities of Durrës and Tirana districts were engaged to extinguish it, making it possible to avoid the risk of the fire spreading to the surface of the forest and centuries-old olive trees. Meanwhile, the fire service and the volunteer force were engaged today.

The fire in the village of Zogaj, municipality of Tropoje, for which the Armed Forces, local structures, supported by a KFOR helicopter, worked yesterday. The operation to control the fire and extinguish it continues today.

The situation in the municipalities of other regions of the country is relatively calm today.
