He was caught with 139 thousand euros of cocaine in Ireland/ 2 years in prison for the Albanian mechanic

Xhevair Ibraj, the Albanian mechanic who was caught in Ireland with drugs, has been sentenced to two years in prison.

The decision was made recently by Dublin County Criminal Court.

Ibraj was caught at a junction on Dublin's Porterstown Road picking up a bag which later turned out to be full of drugs.

The pair were not under any surveillance. The Gardai (Irish police) approached him and asked him to hand over the bag, but the Albanian first gave him a bag of potatoes, then a bag of clothes, and when he had no other choice, he handed over the Lidl bag containing drugs.

Another package of cocaine was found in his vehicle. All the drugs were worth 139,132 euros.

The Dublin Criminal Court also sentenced the other person who delivered the drugs, but to 4 years in prison./ CNA
