They were transporting smuggled goods worth 50,000 euros/ Three people arrested

Three people have been arrested in Tirana after they were caught transporting smuggled clothing and accessories worth around 50,000 euros in two cars.

AK, 33 years old, KK, 64 years old, and SK, 34 years old, were arrested after 16 bags and suitcases containing contraband goods that were to be sold in the 33-year-old's store were found. 

Police have seized the goods, vehicles and mobile phones.

They were transporting smuggled clothing and accessories worth around 50,000 euros in 2 vehicles, and 3 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto.

One of them, the owner of the store where the goods would be sold.

The goods, 2 vehicles and 2 mobile phones were seized.

As a result of the rapid administration of information provided by police intelligence, regarding a case of trafficking in smuggled clothing and accessories, the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Department finalized the "Supply" operation.

During the operation, citizens AK, 33 years old, KK, 64 years old, and SK, 34 years old, all three residents of Tirana, were arrested in flagrante delicto.

On "Teodor Keko" street, vehicles driven by citizens AK and KK, as well as a passenger, citizen SK, were stopped, in which 16 bags and suitcases, with clothing and accessories, without purchase receipts, were found. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the smuggled goods were to be sold in the 33-year-old's shop.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action, the Police statement said./ CNA
