The investigative group has clarified the event that happened at noon today in neighborhood no. 17, in Korça, where a 52-year-old man was injured with strong tools.

It was initially reported as an accidental event, as the 52-year-old man with the initials AK stated in the hospital that he was injured while working in his workshop.

He claimed that some hard tools had fallen on his head, but investigations have revealed that he was hit with tools by his son, after a conflict for weak motives.

As a result, the police arrested his son with the initials AK, 24 years old, in the act, for the crime of "domestic violence".

"The services of the Korçë Police Station, at noon today, after receiving the notification that a citizen AK, 52 years old, resident of the village of Vranisht, Devoll, had gone to the Korçë hospital with a head injury, immediately went to the hospital in order to verify case. Initially, the 52-year-old stated that he was injured while working in his workshop in neighborhood no. 17, Korçë, where some hard tools had fallen on his head.

Following the procedural actions, the 24-year-old AK citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Domestic Violence", while the 52-year-old was transported to Tirana for specialized treatment.
