The police have caught a person who tried to cultivate 62 cannabis seedlings in the village of Shegan, on public property.

The 68-year-old identified with the initials Gj. K. is the author of the cultivation of 103 cannabis seedlings in the village of Gashaj on August 24 of this year.

His arrest was made thanks to the coded police operation "Clean Territory".

The "Clean Territory" mega-operation continues with intensity, against the cultivation of narcotic plants.

He tried to cultivate 62 cannabis seedlings in the village of Shegan, on public property, and the 68-year-old man was caught red-handed and put in handcuffs.

This citizen is suspected of being the author of the cultivation of 103 cannabis seedlings destroyed on 24.08.2024 in the territory of the village of Gashaj.

Following the national mega-operation coded "Clean Territory", the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat, during the control of the territory in cooperation with SPK Bajze, using drones for aerial monitoring, in the Kastrat Administrative Unit, in the village of Shegan, have found planted in the ground 62 suspected cannabis seedlings.

The Police Services have organized the work to identify the author.

Based on the police intelligence, the Police services made it possible to capture and arrest in flagrante delicto the citizen Gj. K., 68 years old, resident of Shegan village, suspected of cultivating 62 cannabis seedlings, which were destroyed by burning.

Also, based on investigations and police intelligence, it is suspected that the 68-year-old is also the author of the cultivation of 103 cannabis seedlings destroyed by the Police on 24.08.2024 in the territory of the village of Gashaj, Kastrat Administrative Unit.

The work continues for the identification and capture of other citizens implicated in this criminal activity./ CNA
