Tritol explosion in a notary's office/ 3 people were arrested, paid crime

The State Police has clarified the explosion with tritol in a notary's office in Tirana, an event which happened on January 30 of this year.

The Director of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, Tonin Vocaj, announced that 3 people have been arrested and 2 others have been declared wanted.

The young people planted explosives and left with a motorbike, which they threw into the lake of Farka.

These people have placed explosives in a business before.

It is suspected that they were paid to plant tritol.

"On 04.02.2024, by the investigative structures of the Police Station No. 2, the police operation coded "ORDER" was finalized, in the framework of which the event that happened on 30.01.2024, in an office, was documented with legal evidence notary on "Perlat rexhepi" street, where explosives exploded.

As part of this operation, the following citizens were detained:

1. RZ, 33 years old, resident of Shkodër;
2. KK, 33 years old, resident of Durrës;
3. EF, 36 years old, resident of Korça.

2 citizens were also declared wanted.

The above citizens, in cooperation with each other, on 30.01.2024, placed a quantity of explosives in a notary's office and after the event, the perpetrators moved with the motor vehicle of citizen EF. Then, they abandoned the motor vehicle in the lake of Farka and after that they left with the "Audi" type vehicle, belonging to the KK citizen

From the investigative actions carried out, it has emerged that these citizens are suspected perpetrators of the incident that occurred on 05.10.2023, on "Prokop Mima" street, where in the bar of citizen Sh. Gj., a quantity of explosive material has been placed.

From the investigative actions so far, it has been found that these citizens have placed the explosive material against payment. The investigative and tracking work continues for the discovery and documentation of the criminal activity of the orderers.

The investigative structures of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, in close cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, continue the intensive work for clarifying and documenting with legal evidence the criminal events that happened before," stressed Vocaj./ CNA
