Traffic Police with an "iron hand"/ 19 drivers are arrested, 15 cars are blocked

During the past week, the Tirana Traffic Police Station has continued the intensive work to identify and punish violators of traffic rules who are a potential risk for involvement in road incidents, as well as for increasing road safety parameters in the capital.

??During this week, 19 citizens were arrested or prosecuted at large for driving while intoxicated or without a driving license, driving under the influence of narcotics, and for active corruption.

?? 9,657 vehicle drivers were punished with administrative measures, for various violations, such as using a mobile phone while driving, wrong passing, not wearing a seat belt, and wrong posture.

?? 42 cases ended with driving license suspension, with the possibility of conversion to a fine.

?? 15 vehicles were blocked, for unpaid obligations, or for lack of documentation.

The Traffic Police of Tirana appeals to road users to be careful and respect traffic rules, to guarantee everyone's safety.
