He was selling expired food near a school/ Municipality policeman was arrested

As a result of inspections in implementation of the Package for Safety in schools, a case of the sale of expired food products was found within the security perimeter of a school in Konispol.

The verifications showed that the products were smuggled and were sold without an invoice.

The owner of this subject, in charge of the Konispol Municipal Police, who, using his duty, avoided checks in the store, was arrested.

Various food products are seized.

The services of the Sarandë Police Station, in implementation of the plan of measures drawn up in the function of the Security Package in schools, have carried out checks in the vicinity of the schools, with the aim of guaranteeing order and security, as well as for the prevention, identification and attack of any illegality .

During the controls, in a commercial entity that was operating within the security perimeter of a high school, in Konispol, the Police officers found that the owner of this entity was selling smuggled goods, a large part of which posed a health risk students and other citizens, because the expiration date had passed.

Following the actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of the Sarandë Police Station arrested the owner of the store, citizen NA, 56 years old, resident of Konsipol, in charge of Konispol Municipal Police.

The verifications showed that this citizen, using the duty, influenced to avoid controls in the entity where products were sold without an invoice.

Various smuggled and expired food products were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions.
