Over 23,000 euros were seized in Kakavija

Based on the risk analysis, at the exit of the Republic of Albania, the Border Police services, during the second line control, found 11,850 euros in the bag of the citizen PM, which were seized as material evidence. This citizen had not declared this amount of money, according to the legal provisions in force.   

Also, at the exit of the RSH, the services of the Border Police Kakavije, during the physical check on the citizen DB, found and seized as material evidence 12,050 euros, which this citizen had not declared at the border, according to the legal provisions in force .

At the end of the investigative actions, the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of DVP Gjirokastër referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and the proceedings began in free status for the citizens PM, 53 years old, resident in Memaliaj and DB, 45 years old, resident in Greece. for the criminal offenses "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border" and "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity"./ CNA.al
