Following the successive strikes against illegal possession of weapons, based on information received in the operational route that a citizen was driving a vehicle, armed with a firearm, the services of the Kavaja Police Commissariat have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Drawer".

As part of the operation, in neighborhood no. 1, Kavaja, the Police services have observed and stopped for inspection the vehicle suspected of being driven by a citizen armed with a firearm.

During a thorough search of the vehicle, the Police found a firearm, a pistol, and ammunition hidden in a special compartment (drawer) between the two seats of the vehicle, which were seized as material evidence.

Following the actions, citizen QB, 39 years old, resident of Durrës, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

Also, criminal proceedings were initiated against the passenger in the vehicle, citizen EB, 33 years old, resident of Tirana, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime"./ CNA
