Involved in a murder in Debar/ Two brothers arrested

Based on the investigations conducted to solve a murder that occurred in 2018, which occurred in the Dibra District, the Dibra police have obtained evidence that two of the citizens suspected of being involved in the murder were sheltering in Gjirokastra.

The structures of the Dibër Police Department, in cooperation with the Criminal Police Department of the State Police and the structures of the Gjirokastër Police Department, within the framework of the "Twins" operation, have arrested in Gjirokastër the following citizens:

KK, 39 years old, and KK, 39 years old, both residents of Gjirokastër (brothers).

During the search of the two brothers' homes, 3 firearms (2 Kalashnikovs and 1 rifle), 1 cold weapon (knife), 3 combs, combat ammunition, 1 mask and 3 mobile phones were found and seized.

The weapons will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute for further examination, to verify whether they were used in the 2018 murder or in other criminal events.

Under the direction of the Prosecution, the investigative structures of the Dibër DVP continue intensive investigations to clarify and fully legally document this murder, as well as to capture and arrest other suspects in this case./ CNA
