Knife attack in Elbasan/ Suspected perpetrator arrested

An injury occurred yesterday in Elbasan.

The police were able to stop the escalation of the conflict and arrested the suspected perpetrator of the injury.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested after stabbing a person for weak motives.

 

Police notification

A citizen was injured with a knife during a momentary conflict. The immediate intervention of the Police prevented the escalation of the conflict and arrested the suspected perpetrator of the injury.

The services of the Elbasan Police Commissariat, immediately after receiving the notification of a physical conflict with the use of a cutting tool, in the "Shënkoll" neighborhood, went to the given address and intervened to prevent the escalation of the conflict. As a result of the professional intervention, the Police caught and arrested the citizen Xh. S., 29 years old, in flagrante delicto.         

This citizen is suspected of having struck citizen SA, 67, with a cutting tool (knife) yesterday in the "Shënkoll" neighborhood, during a conflict for weak motives, with him.

The injured person is under medical care, out of danger. 

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".
