The administrator of a tourist agency is arrested and the agency employee (his wife) is prosecuted.

These citizens are suspected of defrauding the agency's clients and profiting from around 17,000 euros.     

Police Announcement:

Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of the Tirana Police Department, after handling reports from several citizens for fraud by a travel agency, have conducted several weeks of investigations under the direction of the Prosecution and have finalized the police operation codenamed "Reservation".      

As a result of the operation:

-citizen A. Gj., 63 years old, administrator of the tourist agency, was detained;  

-Criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen E. Gj., 51 years old (wife of citizen A. Gj.), an employee of the agency.      

Investigations suspect that these citizens have benefited from around 17,000 euros by defrauding the agency's clients, from whom they have taken sums of money for booking travel tickets and accommodation, but have not made the reservations. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office, for the criminal offenses of "Fraud" and "Hiding Income". /CNA
