Tirana police have arrested a 40-year-old man who obtained a sum of money through fraud from a person.

Specifically, AB was arrested, who was wanted after being sentenced in 2024 to 6 years in prison for fraud.

The 40-year-old man took advantage of a person for 21 thousand euros with the claim that he would provide documents to travel to the USA.

He took 21,000 euros from a citizen, deceiving him by saying he would provide him with documents to travel to the US, the 40-year-old man was caught and sentenced to 6 years in prison for this crime.

As a result of the controls and operational work, with the objective of capturing wanted citizens, accused/convicted of various criminal offenses, the services of Police Commissariat No. 2, in cooperation with specialists from the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, finalized the operation "Pasoja", during which the wanted citizen, Ahmet Bellahu, 40 years old, was located and detained.

The Tirana Court sentenced the 40-year-old, in 2024, to 6 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Fraud", with serious consequences.

This year, he took advantage of a citizen, 21,000 euros, by deceiving him into providing him with the necessary documents to travel to the United States of America.
