Police authorities in Lezha and Kurbin have today shared a special plan of measures to guarantee order and security during the pilgrimage to the Church of St. Ndout, Laç, which will take place every Tuesday for the next 13 weeks. 

Announcement:

In implementation of the determined measures, Traffic Police services have been deployed along the "Highway-Laç" axis up to the Church of St. Ndout, in order to direct traffic and avoid blockages. Also, police services have been provided at the main intersections in Patok, near the Courthouse in Laç, as well as near the city cemetery.

Police services have also been deployed at the entrances/exits of the parking lot on the perimeter of the church, as well as on the mountainous segment of the road, where the risk of creating blockages is higher. Meanwhile, Public Order patrols, Traffic Police and Criminal Police structures are engaged in the field to guarantee the safety of believers and prevent any possible incident. 

The Lezha Local Police Directorate invites all drivers and citizens to respect the instructions of the Police, in order to avoid delays and conduct a peaceful and safe pilgrimage.

The Lezha District Police remain fully prepared to provide assistance and security to all participating citizens. We wish all believers a successful pilgrimage, and we appeal that for any need or case of illegality, please contact the Police at any time . /CNA
