Dangerous overtaking in tunnels on Arbri Street/ 30 thousand lek fine for 2 drivers

Two drivers were identified and punished with administrative measures for committing dangerous overtaking at the Vasha Bridge and in the Murriz Tunnel.

Based on the video footage sent by a citizen to the official Facebook address of the Dibër Traffic Police, which showed a driver performing a dangerous overtaking on the Vasha bridge, as well as after the publication of a video on social networks in which another driver was shown performing a dangerous overtaking inside the Murriz tunnel, the Dibër Traffic Police Services immediately carried out actions to identify the drivers.

From the verifications carried out, the drivers of the vehicles were identified, citizen RS, resident in Klos; and citizen VM, resident in Tirana.

Pursuant to Article 146 of the Road Code, the RS citizen was fined 10,000 lek for the violation committed.

Pursuant to Article 174 of the Road Code, citizen VM was fined 20,000 lek for the violation committed, and 15 points were deducted from her driving license./CNA
