Saranda police seized a speedboat and fined its driver 10,000 new lek. 

According to the police announcement, the driver of the boat during the verifications proved that he did not have the necessary documentation on board.

The boat was blocked until the payment of the administrative measure and the equipment of its driver, with the relevant documentation.

"Controls by the Border Police continue along the entire coastline in Vlora, Saranda and Himarë, with the aim of increasing security parameters during the tourist season.

The number of vessels blocked during this week by DVKM Vlora is 7.

Another boat is blocked, on the beach of Ksamil, and the driver is punished with an administrative measure of 10,000 new lek, since he did not have the relevant documentation on board.

The Border Police Services of DVKM Vlorë and those of the Saranda Border Police, in implementation of the plan of measures drawn up to strengthen controls at sea and on land, to fishing vessels and tourist vessels, as well as to verify the legality of possession and the driving of these vehicles by different citizens, along the entire coastline of the district, have evidenced another case of driving a boat, contrary to the laws in force.

The Saranda Border Police fined the driver of a boat-type boat with an administrative measure of 10,000 new lek, as during the verifications it was found that he did not have the necessary documentation on board.

The boat was blocked until the payment of the administrative measure and the equipment of its driver, with the relevant documentation.

The Border Police will continue checks along the entire coastline of the county. It also invites citizens to report any cases of illegality, in the Digital Commissariat application, or to call the toll-free number 112, guaranteeing anonymity, quick and professional response," the police announcement reads./CNA.al
