Serious incident in Gjirokastër/ Young man dies from drug overdose

A serious incident occurred today, after a 23-year-old man was found dead on the premises of a private school in Gjirokastra.

According to sources for CNA, it is learned that pharmaceutical preparations were found near the young man's lifeless body, which has increased suspicions that the 23-year-old committed suicide.

The first to find the young man were his roommates, who thought he was asleep and after he did not react for a long time, they notified the school authorities.

From preliminary information, it is learned that the 23-year-old was suffering from depression and was taking medication.

Police immediately went to the scene and it is suspected that the 23-year-old died as a result of a drug overdose for reasons still unclear. /CNA
