Participated in the demolition of hostels in Theth/ IKMT inspector is threatened

A serious incident has been recorded in Velipoja where the inspector of the Shkodra IKMT, Emiljano Nika, was placed with a wreath of flowers near his apartment as a threat. It is reported that Nika was one of the inspectors who participated in the action for the demolition of unauthorized buildings in Theth, last week. The report was made by the inspector himself.

Police Notification

On 18.07.2025, citizen EN, 44 years old, resident of Shkodra, reported that a wreath of flowers was placed on the railings of the gate in the apartment where his parents live, in the village of Sektor, Velipojë. Investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the circumstances and identify the perpetrator.

The materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Shkodra Court of First Instance for further action.

Nika has previously faced threats due to his role as head of interventions against illegal construction. The police are investigating to fully clarify the case and guarantee the safety of him and his family./ CNA
