Millions of Lekë assets / The hotel in Korça is seized

Assets worth up to 15,100,000 ALL are seized, owned by a 35-year-old with a criminal record in the field of production and sale of narcotics.

Following the work for the identification and finding of criminal assets deriving from criminal activity, the specialists of the Section for Investigation of Economic-Financial Crime in the Local Police Directorate of Korça had sent preliminary investigative materials to the Prosecution at the Korça Judicial District Court, which has registered criminal proceedings for the criminal offense "Laundering the proceeds of crime or criminal activity." 

Pursuant to this proceeding, under the direction of the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Korça, after a two-year period of investigation, the decision was made on 08.06.2022, of the Court of the Korça Judicial District, to impose a preventive seizure of an asset. with an area of ??182 m of land, a building of 147 m and an additional floor of 176 m, in the street "Naum Voskopoja", Korça. This building functioned as a hotel and was owned by LK, 60 years old, resident in Korça.

From the investigative actions it is suspected that this property was derived from the criminal activity of the citizen ED, 34 years old, resident in Korça, who was previously convicted for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics".

The income obtained from the criminal activity, this citizen is suspected to have invested in the business on behalf of the citizen LK, with whom he has a family connection.
