A citizen who was caught taking care of narcotic plants he had cultivated in the forest of the village of Grazhdan has been arrested.

In his apartment, near the planted area, he was illegally carrying 2 shotguns, 2 police radios, and ammunition of various calibers.

The son of the arrested person is wanted on suspicion of involvement in the criminal activity of cultivating narcotic plants.

Narcotic plants are destroyed and weapons, radios and ammunition are seized.

As a result of a month-long investigation, pursued with proactive methods, in cooperation with the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, against the criminal activity of cultivating narcotic plants, the services of the Gramsh Police Commissariat finalized the police operation codenamed "Surveillance".

During the operation, citizen MH, 63 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto, while taking care of the 35 narcotic plants he had cultivated in the forest of the village where he lived.

Further, during the operation, a search was conducted in this citizen's apartment, where 2 shotguns, 2 police radios and 60 cartridges of various calibers, which were possessed without a permit, were found.

Also, in connection with this case, citizen AH, 33 years old, resident of Tirana, was declared wanted, as the investigations suspect that he collaborated with his father, citizen MH, in the cultivation of narcotic plants. Efforts are underway to capture the 33-year-old.

The procedural materials were referred to the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants", "Unlicensed production and possession of combat weapons and ammunition", "Unlicensed production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons" and "Unlawful possession of uniform". /CNA
