Fire situation/ Ministry of Defense: Active fires in Llaman and Kukës

The Ministry of Defense has updated the fire situation in the country through a statement.

The announcement states that the fire in the village of Llaman in Himara continues to be active.

3 firefighting vehicles with 12 personnel from the Himara Fire Department, 40 personnel from the Gjirokastër Fire Department with 4 transport vehicles and 1 Armed Forces helicopter are working to extinguish the fire.

The announcement made by the Defense also states that the fire is still ongoing at the waste dump in the village of Kolsh in Kukës.

According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies at AKMC, as of 12:00, date 23.06.2025, 7 fires have been reported.
Of these, 5 fires have been extinguished and 2 fires are active.

After continuous work by operational forces in the field, it was possible to completely isolate and extinguish the fires in:

1. In the “Mulliri i Artë” neighborhood, Delvinë municipality.
2. In the village of Alarup, Çërravë administrative unit, Pogradec municipality.
3. On Elbasani Road, administrative unit No. 2, Tirana municipality.
4. In the village of Rilë, Shënkoll administrative unit, Lezhë municipality.
5. In the village of Malaj, Rrëshen administrative unit, Mirditë municipality.


Currently, the fires are active in:

Vlorë County
1. In the village of Llaman, Himarë municipality, the fire is still active, operating: 3 firefighting vehicles with 12 personnel from the Himarë MZSH, 40 personnel from the Gjirokastër Military District with 4 transport vehicles and 1 helicopter of the Military.
In support of the Himarë municipality, there are also 30 forces from the Forest Service, from the Himarë Public Services Enterprise, from the administrative units of Himarë, Horë - Vranisht and Lukovë.

Kukës County.
2. In the village of Kolsh, the administrative unit of Mamëz, Kukës municipality, work is being done to extinguish the fire that broke out in the urban waste dump, the situation is improving.
