Car ends up in Vau i Dejës lake/ Driver arrested, condition of injured

A road accident occurred yesterday afternoon at the Spathari Bridge in Vau e Dejës, where a vehicle ended up in the lake. Police announced today that the driver of the vehicle, citizen ZB, 32 years old, has been arrested.

He lost control and as a result the vehicle crashed into the metal barriers of the Spathar bridge and fell into Lake Vau i Dejës. Meanwhile, three people were injured in the accident, one of whom was sent for specialized treatment to the Trauma Hospital.

Following the preliminary information provided yesterday, regarding the accident that occurred on the "Mjedë-Spathar" road axis, we inform that traffic specialists arrested citizen ZB, 32 years old, in flagrante delicto, after he lost control of his vehicle while driving and as a result the vehicle collided with the metal barriers of the Spathar bridge and fell into Lake Vau i Dejës.  

The driver of the vehicle and the passenger, citizen N. Ç., 24 years old, resident of Laç, are receiving treatment at the Shkodra Regional Hospital, while the other passenger, citizen AN, 22 years old, resident of Laç, was sent for specialized treatment at the Trauma Hospital. / CNA
