The Special Court has decided to reject the request of the prisoner Erion Veizaj, who asked to cancel the order of the Ministry of Justice for his placement in the 41 BIS regime.

Veizaj was isolated in 41 BIS on April 16 of this year, by order of the Deputy Minister of Justice.

On May 3, he submitted a request to GJKKO through his lawyer to be released from the 41 BIS regime, with the claim of violation of his rights as a prisoner. But with today's decision, GJKKO rejected this request.

Erion Veizaj is accused of killing the police officer, Azem Meshini and another person in Tirana, in 1999. He was handcuffed together with 3 other people. The murder happened on June 4 near the train tracks in the capital./ CNA
