The Special Court has left Bujar Ajeti in prison, who is accused of creating conditions for murder. Ajeti requested a change in the security measure, a request which was dismissed by the Court.

NOTICE

1. The petitioner Bujar Ajeti (Gjermizi), on 09.07.2024, submitted to the Court the request with the object: "1. Verification of insurance needs by obtaining information about the investigations carried out by the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, regarding the criminal proceedings in charge of the citizen Bujar Ajeti (Gjermizi); 2. The replacement of the security measure of "Arrest in prison", provided by article 238 of the Criminal Code, to the security measure of "House arrest", provided for by article 237 of the Criminal Code."

2. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judge Elsa Ulliri, based on Article 246/6 of the Penal Code, with decision No. 432, dated 29.07.2024, decided:

1. Verification of security needs and the continuation of the implementation of the security measure "Arrest in prison", assigned to the citizen Bujar Ajeti by decision No. 124, dated 17.11.2023 of the Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime .

2. Court costs as incurred.

3. An appeal against this decision is allowed in the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime within 5 days, starting from the day after the communication of the decision. Tirana, on 29.07.2024 Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime./ CNA
