They threatened the taxi driver with a knife and extorted a sum of money/ Two

The Durrës police have arrested two people, AB, 26 years old and VB, 29 years old, who are accused of threatening a taxi driver with a knife and taking a sum of money from him.

The investigation showed that in the early hours of this morning, at the place called "ILIRIA" roundabout on the beach, these citizens boarded the taxi vehicle driven by citizen IK

As soon as they got into the car, citizen AB allegedly threatened the taxi driver with a knife, while citizen VB took a sum of money that the taxi driver had in the car and they left the vehicle.

Police Notification:

They boarded a taxi and then threatened the taxi driver with a knife and took a sum of money from him. Thanks to the quick response of the Police, the suspected perpetrators were identified and arrested.

The police arrested a 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, who threatened the taxi driver with a knife and took a sum of money.

The Police Services, upon receiving the notification that two citizens had threatened a taxi driver with a knife and had taken a sum of money, immediately organized the work and thanks to the quick and professional intervention, made it possible to identify, catch and arrest the perpetrators, specifically the citizens :

- AB, 26 years old, resident in Durrës
- VB, 29 years old, resident in Kavajë

The investigation showed that around 01:00, in neighborhood No. 13, at the place called "ILIRIA" roundabout on the beach, these citizens boarded the taxi vehicle driven by citizen IK

At the moment they got into the car, the citizen AB allegedly threatened the taxi driver with a knife, while the citizen VB took a sum of money that the taxi driver had in the car (daily turnover) and they left the vehicle.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action./CNA
