Businessman Sokol Meqemeja, who was declared wanted a few days ago, has surrendered to the police.
His announcement of his arrest was made following suspicions of building an unauthorized power plant, but after verification, the charges were dropped and the businessman was released.
After an on-site inspection, police confirmed that the facility was actually a gas purification plant, part of the natural gas wells.
The businessman, in his testimony given at the police station, said that it was all a misunderstanding based on malicious information.
He also stated that the plant has no connection to energy production.
" It was a misunderstanding fueled by malicious information. The plant is an integral part of the gas filtration process and has nothing to do with energy production ," the businessman said./ CNA
