Accused of the murder of Gentian Bejtja/ Flodian Plaku is arrested

The accused in the murder of Gentian Bejtja, Flodian Plaku, was arrested today by the Vlora Police.

According to reports, the arrest was carried out by the coastal city's police and the Serious Crimes Directorate.

Details from the event:

Gentian Bejtja, a former police officer from Bruges, was executed by gunfire on the afternoon of March 15, 2024. He was killed in the courtyard of his apartment in the village of Larushk.

Gentian Bejtja is not an unknown name for Albanian justice. In January 2022, he was shot with a gun along with citizen Klodian Stafuka. They were shot while driving near the school in the village of Larushk in the Fushë Krujë area, while Bejtja was wounded in the arm.

In September 2016, an assassination attempt was organized against him with TNT.

Bejtja was traveling in his "Tuareg" car, with license plate "AA 020 BH", in the village of Nikël, Kruja, when an explosive exploded from under the vehicle, seriously injuring his leg.

In July 2023, Gentian Bejtja's brother-in-law, Ramazan Sino, was also executed and his two children were injured. /CNA
