Operation "Attemp 2" has been finalized, within the framework of which 4 people were arrested for illegally transporting immigrants.

Among those arrested is a minor, who was caught on the Gjirokastër-Tepelena road, after he was driving a vehicle without a driver's license and was transporting 9 citizens from Egypt towards Shkodra. The organizer of this criminal scheme is suspected to be DD, 34 years old.

While the other two arrested, KB and AA, are suspected of driving a vehicle to check the road and signal the minor to the presence of the police.

The police seized 2 vehicles, 6 cell phones and 400 euros.

They were caught red-handed transporting, for profit, 9 immigrants, with the aim of illegally crossing the border, and 4 citizens were arrested (including the organizer of this criminal activity).

2 vehicles, 400 euros and 6 cell phones were seized.

The Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking, in cooperation with the Road Police Sector, the Operational Sector and the "Eagle" Special Force of the Gjirokastër Police Department, in continuation of the work to crack down on the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, for profit, for illegal border crossing, based on information obtained through police channels, have finalized the police operation codenamed "Attempt 2", as a result of which the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

KB, 29 years old, AA, 48 years old, and a 17-year-old minor citizen, all three residents of Lushnje.

Also, citizen DD, 34 years old, resident of Lushnje, was detained, as he is suspected of having the role of organizer in this criminal activity.

The 17-year-old minor citizen was caught red-handed by the Police services, on the "Gjirokastër-Tepelena" road axis, at the place called "Ura e Kardhiqit", driving a "Mercedes Benz" vehicle, without a driving license, was transporting, for profit, 9 immigrants from Egypt, towards Shkodra, with the aim of illegally crossing the border, and did not obey the order of the Police officer for control, but abandoned the vehicle and left.

Citizens AA and KB are suspected of driving a "Fiat" vehicle to control the road and signal the 17-year-old to the presence of the Police services.

As material evidence, 2 vehicles, 400 euros and 6 mobile phones were seized./ CNA
