Assassination in Lezha/ 4 people wanted

Four people have been declared wanted in connection with the assassination attempt that occurred yesterday evening in the village of Rrilë, Lezha, where one person was injured by gunfire.

The police have announced that investigations are continuing to fully uncover the incident, while so far an arrest warrant has been executed for a police officer, who is suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse of Duty". The 24-year-old fired a gun at the perpetrators.

It is further announced that work is underway to capture four nationalities GN, EN, KN and MN, suspected of the criminal offenses of "Intentional murder, attempted" and "Unlicensed possession of firearms, ammunition and explosives".

In relation to the incident that occurred on 01.02.2026, at around 21:00, in the village of Rrilë, Shenkoll Administrative Unit, Lezhë Municipality, where a citizen was injured by gunfire, the Special Investigation Group of the Lezhë DVP, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has intensively continued investigations with the aim of clarifying the incident, legal documentation, identification and arrest of the perpetrators.

Following the actions, the detention order issued by the Prosecutor was executed for citizen BK, 24 years old, resident of the village of Dragushë, Dajç Administrative Unit, Lezha Municipality, suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

From the entirety of the investigative and procedural actions, it has resulted that citizens GN, EN, KN and MN were included as suspects in this incident, and they have been declared wanted.

The special investigative group, under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, continues to work on the complete legal documentation of the event.
