The police have arrested another person, thanks to the coded operation "Fake Gold", from which two Italian citizens were arrested, who, through fraud, sold material such as gold in the form of grains.

Today, the owner of a jewelry store with the initials JT, 53 years old, was arrested in Elbasan, who is accused of having carried out actions that prevent the discovery of the truth.

We remind you that 2 Italian citizens have sold gold (metal) in the form of grains, worth 200,000 euros, in Tirana and Podgorica, during the period June-August 2022.

"Following the coded police operation "Fake Gold", finalized 2 days ago, as a result of which 2 Italian citizens were arrested, for the criminal offenses "Smuggling of licensed goods" and "Fraud", carried out in collaboration, as well as the amount of fake and pure gold was seized, the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime at DVP Elbasan arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth", the citizen JT, 53 years old, resident of Elbasan, the owner of the jewelry store in the city of Elbasan, where 2 Italian citizens were arrested in the act," the police announced./ BA - CNA.al
