Operation "Location 1" in Tirana is finalized/6 people are arrested

Six people have been arrested and another has been placed under investigation for fraud with fictitious stock exchanges, following the discovery of a call center setup in the capital.

Citizens AK, 25 years old, SS, 26 years old, SM, 22 years old, EH, 30 years old, BI, 25 years old and S. Ll., 29 years old, all 6 residents of Tirana, have been arrested. Citizen MD, 20 years old, is being prosecuted.

Computer equipment, mobile phones and other material evidence are seized.

Another operation is being finalized by the Economic Crime Investigation Sector in cooperation with the Operational Force of the Tirana Police Department and the Cyber ??Crime Investigation Directorate at the DPPSH, under the direction of the Prosecution Office.

As a result of Operation "Location 1", another environment adapted as a call center was discovered, through which foreign citizens were deceived, over the phone, into investing in fictitious stock exchanges.

6 citizens are arrested and 1 other is being prosecuted.

Computer equipment, mobile phones and other material evidence are seized.

Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, at the Tirana Police Department, in cooperation with the Tirana Police Department's Operational Force and the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate under the direction of the Prosecution, thanks to police intelligence, successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Location 1". As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

AK, 25 years old, SS, 26 years old, SM, 22 years old, EH, 30 years old, BI, 25 years old and S. Ll., 29 years old, all 6 residents of Tirana. Citizen MD, 20 years old, is being prosecuted.

These citizens, during the intervention of the Police services, were caught red-handed while deceiving foreign citizens, to invest in a fictitious stock exchange with the aim of recovering the money that they had previously lost with the same method of fraud. They exercised this activity in the environment adapted as a call-center on "Dritan Hoxha" street. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office ,
