Zamira Durda's lawyer, Dorjan Matlija, the mother of one of Gërdec's victims, has spoken to the media after the preliminary session at GJKKO, where Gërdec's file was submitted for judicial review.

In an appearance for the media, he strongly opposed the court's decision, which did not accept the families of the victims as parties to the trial.

The lawyer said that in this way a serious standard is being violated, as he emphasized that family members must be present at every session.

“Sipas prokurorëve akuza në fjalë nuk ka lidhje me shpërthimin, sikur nuk ndodhur shpërthim, sikur nuk ka viktima. Është shkelur një standard i rëndë. Familjarët e viktimave duhet të ishin aty, ata kishin kërkesat e tyre, kemi mundësitë tona të ankimit. Do jemi të pranishëm në seanca. Dosja nuk është plotë.  Do paraqesim kërkesat sot, si ndaj vendimit të sotëm dhe në atë proces që do bëhem me gjykim të shkurtuar.

Ne mendonim që dosja nuk është e plotë dhe ka magësira. Pjesa më e rëndësishme që ky proces do të jetë me pjesëmarrje të familjarëve. Nuk ka sesi të ndodhë ndryshe”, u shpreh avokati.

Nga ana tjetër, Zamira Durda deklaroi se do të bëjë ankimim në KLP dhe KLGJ.

"For the prosecutors and judges, I will appeal to the KLP and the Supreme Court. In both institutions. I will continue the battle, it's a shame for them, they have it for themselves", she emphasized./ CNA.al
