Was Ervis Martinaj killed and thrown into the sea?/ Lala: Searches have been
Ervis Martinaj

Journalist Klodiana Lala spoke this Friday about Ervis Martinaj, the gambling boss, who has been missing since August 2022.

Lala stopped at the allusions to Martinaj's murder and throwing his body into the sea.

She said on Ermal Peç's show that there have been searches by pigeon hunters in the southern area.

"I have published one of his last images before he disappeared, of course I am neither the prosecutor nor the judge to say categorically about his fate. Martinaj, unlike many people in the world of crime, did not come from the streets and become a criminal, it was the opposite, a man who came from the university bank and then went into crime.

Of course I have my doubts, I believe there are no investigations into that case, the fact that the Albanian authorities have left it to a small Prosecutor's Office means that I think there was no great interest in handling this case.

But the fact that so much time is passing and there is no clue, no movement, leads me to suspect that Ervis Marinaj may have been killed. These are the doubts that I raise for these reasons that I say.

But I dare not say that this is so because I say it, I must have proof. I know that there were searches in the southern area, that there were suspicions that he might have been killed and thrown into the sea. I was there, there was a search by pigeon hunters, but unfortunately nothing is known about his fate yet", said the journalist.

She emphasized that there were alerts about Martinaj's case, but she could not uncover the truth.

"I had an alert about the research that was being carried out, I had an alert about data connecting him to the Durrës area, I also went and went and did verifications, but I didn't go to that final test to say that this happened to Martinaj" , underlined Klodiana Lala./ CNA
