A 49-year-old Albanian woman was found dead today in her home in Pianello Vallesina, a village in Ancona, Italy. According to the carabinieri who arrived at the scene, it is suspected that the woman was beaten to death by her husband, an Albanian-Macedonian.

The husband did not show up for work this Wednesday and according to information, he had reunited with the victim after a separation.

According to Italian media, the citizen was arrested on April 12 for mistreatment and was held in prison.

The woman, found dead in her home, was lying in bed with signs of beating and visible head injuries. The alarm was raised by her employer after she failed to show up this morning. Carabinieri who responded to the scene found the front door open and the keys in the door.
