The stream took him away/ A 40-year-old man loses his life in Elbasan

A serious incident occurred in the village of Mlizë in the Gjinar Administrative Unit, Elbasan, where citizen FT lost his life after being swept away by the current of the stream that passes near the area.

The incident occurred yesterday, as it is suspected that the 40-year-old was crossing the bridge and was swept away by the increased water flows caused by the recent rainfall.

After he did not return home by lunchtime, his family alerted the authorities and began searching along the stream bed.

Surveillance cameras from several businesses near the area captured the moment the 40-year-old was pulled out of the stream, helping search teams determine the direction of the body's movement.

The body of citizen FT was found this morning, about 1 kilometer from the bridge. Authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident./ CNA
