A serious family crime was registered yesterday evening in the village of Greshicë in Mallakastra.

37-year-old Mariglen Muhametaj killed his 73-year-old father, Qemal Muhametaj, by hitting him with hard objects.

Immediately after the crime, the author left, while he was arrested by the police after several hours of pursuit in the village.

The head of the village, Kastriot Hysenaj, speaking to the media, has shown that the 37-year-old also had mental health problems, but not problematic ones.

He says that the incident may have been the result of a momentary argument, since he and his son had no conflicts.

"I was taken by the powerful of the area. When they went there, we found him killed. We did not find the boy there. By the time the uncle had gone, he had run downstairs. He has been sick. He was a quiet boy. We did not know that it would reach this state. There were no conflicts. Lived with goats. I haven't seen it with negative people. He was a closed guy.

In my opinion it was temporary. The mother is paralyzed. By the time I arrived, everything was over. His father was a very quiet, hardworking man, he didn't mess with anyone. It seems absurd to us. He had mental problems, I don't know if he was cured. He was not a boy to deal with bad company", says the elder. / CNA.al
