Dan Hutra tries to escape from prison

Dan Hutra, otherwise known as the killer of women, tried to escape from Fier prison.

He had planned to leave the prison premises, in cooperation with three other detainees.

In the room where they were accommodated, they had started cutting the window frame with improvised tools.

Security officers found escape tools in Dan Hutra's room, namely: a sheet adapted as a rope and improvised cutting tools.

We recall that on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, 40-year-old Dan Hutra, a former convict, killed 3 women and injured three others, in three different areas of Tirana.

Initially, in a black "Benz" type vehicle, he went to Astir with a Kalashnikov and a knife inside the car. Dan Hutra stabbed his ex-girlfriend, 40-year-old initials MG, and forcibly took a sum of money from her.

Afterwards, he went to the apartment of his former co-habitant in Kodër-Kamëz and wounded his former co-habitant Elena Hysa and her mother Kujtime Hysa with firearms.

Also, he killed with a gun the sister of the former cohabitant Mevlute Hysa and her sister-in-law Hasime Dafku.

The 40-year-old was not satisfied with that, but went to Bathore and also killed 31-year-old Etleva Kurti, CNA reports.

The latter was the sister of Vladimir Kurti, a person with whom Dan Hutra had had a fierce argument while they were both serving their sentence in the same prison.

The callous perpetrator was arrested a few hours later and expressed no remorse for the murders, even revealing that he had planned to execute a fourth person, a man in Vaqarr who blamed him for the loss of his father's life.

Dan Hutra has a rich criminal record that includes various criminal offenses for rape, hostage-taking, murder, 2 sensational escape attempts, fights in prison, theft, a total of 20 years of criminal history./ CNA
