The Traffic Police in Gjirokastër during the month of December arrested 2 people, after they were caught driving without a license. In the meantime, 5 drivers' licenses were revoked for violating traffic rules, such as speeding. 

1645 drivers were fined. 

Police notification: 

The Road Police of Gjirokastra, present 24/7, on all road axes of the district, in order to increase road safety parameters.

During the month of December 2023, 2 drivers were arrested for driving without a driving license, 8 drivers were arrested for violating other traffic rules, and 5 driving licenses were suspended.

Traffic Police services checks, with modern logistics equipment, have the following goals: preventing road accidents with consequences for the lives of road users, increasing road safety parameters and facilitating traffic in the city and on connecting axes.

In this context, during the month of December, a total of 1,645 vehicle drivers were administratively punished, specifically divided into:

?451 vehicle drivers, for stopping or stopping the vehicle, in violation of road signs;

? 412 drivers, for wrong overtaking;

? 207 vehicle drivers, for not wearing a seat belt;

? 381 vehicle drivers, for speeding over the allowed rates;

? 194 drivers, for various violations of the Highway Code.
