A serious accident was registered this Friday morning in Turkey near the Polatli district of Ankara.

The driver of a bus lost control of the vehicle, went off the road, hit the barriers and then crashed into the foot of an overpass.

The governor of Ankara, Vasip Sahin, told the Turkish channel "CNN" that 9 people lost their lives and 26 were injured.

He stated that the bus driver was among the passengers who lost their lives.

Regarding the cause of the accident, Governor Sahin announced that "according to initial estimates, it may have been the result of the driver falling asleep". He emphasized that the information about the real cause of the accident will be determined in the following hours"./ CNA
