Mediat palestineze raportojnë se gruaja e parë dhe e vetme në byronë politike të Hamasit është vrarë në një sulm ajror. Byroja politike është organi kryesor vendimmarrës i Hamasit.

Jamila al-Shanti, e veja e bashkëthemeluesit të Hamasit, Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi, themeloi lëvizjen e grave në Hamas dhe u bë gruaja e parë e zgjedhur në byronë politike në vitin 2021.

Ndërkohë, kryeministri i Mbretërisë së Bashkuar, Rishi Sunak, ka mbërritur në Izrael. Ai dënoi "aktin e tmerrshëm të terrorizmit" nga Hamasi më 7 tetor dhe thotë se Mbretëria e Bashkuar qëndron krah izraelitëve.
