Termocentrali i Gazës është aktualisht burimi i vetëm i energjisë elektrike atje dhe mund të prodhojë energji për 10 apo 12 orët e ardhshme, tha kreu i Autoritetit Palestinez të Energjisë, Thafer Melhem, për radion Zëri i Palestinës.

Izraeli ndërpreu furnizimin me energji elektrike në Gaza të hënën, pasi shpalli një rrethim të plotë të zonës. 

Qeveria izraelite njoftoi se ka ndërprerë gjithashtu furnizimet me ushqim, karburant dhe ujë. Gaza drejtohet nga Hamasi dhe Izraeli kufizon se kush dhe çfarë mallrash mund të kalojnë kufijtë e tij.

Rreth 80% e njerëzve në Gaza mbështeteshin në ndihma humanitare edhe para fillimit të luftës së fundit.

Të mërkurën, agjencia e OKB-së njoftoi se gati gjysmë milioni njerëz nuk kanë mundur të marrin racionet e tyre ushqimore që nga e shtuna./CNA
