Germany has announced a new aid package worth about 1 billion euros. Germany's Defense Ministry added that the military aid package includes air defense equipment, weapons and ground vehicles.
"Germany will continue to support Ukraine with what it needs most urgently: air defense, ammunition and tanks ," said German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
"With this new aid package, we will increase the operational readiness of the Ukrainian armed forces for the coming months."
Pistorius said that the new package includes Patriot missile systems, but also additional IRIS-T type systems and Gepard tanks.
Germany will also provide Ukraine with military vehicles and other unspecified equipment worth 20 million euros.
