Ursula von der Leyen është rizgjedhur si presidente e Komisionit Evropian në një votim të ri të enjten që përfaqësoi provën e vetme më të madhe të trashëgimisë së saj politike, e krijuar në një sërë krizash që kanë tronditur themelet e bllokut.

Pas një debati në Parlamentin Evropian, presidentja aktuale mori 401 vota pro dhe 284 kundër, një shumicë e madhe për të mbështetur mandatin e saj të dytë pesëvjeçar.

Rezultati është një mbështetje vendimtare dhe shënon një kthesë të rëndësishme nga hera e fundit që u përball me gjysmëciklin: në vitin 2019, ajo ia doli me një diferencë rekord, me vetëm nëntë vota.

"Pesë vitet e fundit kanë treguar se çfarë mund të bëjmë së bashku. Le ta bëjmë përsëri. Le të bëjmë zgjedhjen e forcës. Le të bëjmë zgjedhjen e lidershipit", u shpreh Ursula von der Leyen./CNA
