The death toll from Hurricane Ian is reported to have risen to over 90 in Florida.
Rescue teams are continuing to search for survivors.
Officials in Florida have come under fire, as some residents of storm-hit areas complained they didn't receive enough warnings to evacuate.
At least half of the dead people were registered in Lli county, where Ian, a Category 4 hurricane, made landfall.
US President Joe Biden is expected to visit Florida on Wednesday.
On Monday he visited Puerto Rico - which was hit by Hurricane Fiona days before Ian hit Florida - and pledged to allocate $60 million to help the US territory.
"We will make sure you get every dollar you are promised," he said.
Meanwhile in Florida, it is believed that 588,000 people have been left without power.
Some American companies, responsible for supplying electricity, have said that a good part of the residents will have access to electricity on October 7.
Experts have said that the economic cost caused by Hurricane Ian could reach tens of billions of dollars./REL
