The Greek media have revealed new details about the three Albanian gangs that were dismantled by the Attica police a week ago.

More and more details are emerging in the light of public opinion regarding the action of the Polytechnic gang. The gang leaders wanted to turn the centers of the Polytechnic University into a "den" of illegality and terrorism, after they had occupied its premises. As Mega reports, they invited thugs from Albania to stay in hostels, to use them as a base, carrying out criminal activities with the security of the student dormitory, where they would stay. According to the same report, the authorities came to this conclusion after the arrest of a 26-year-old Albanian man for six robberies of fuel and supermarkets, as well as a motor vehicle theft, as well as grievous bodily harm and other crimes. Two or three other compatriots who have not yet been arrested seem to have participated in these crimes.

3 banda, 29 grabitje

Kujtohet se tri banda u çmontuan përfundimisht pas operacionit të ELAS-it në rezidencat e studentëve në Kampusin Politeknik Zografou mëngjesin e së martës.

Siç është bërë e ditur, janë arrestuar gjithsej 34 anëtarë të këtyre bandave, mes të cilëve edhe drejtuesit e tyre. Sipas ELAS, këto banda kanë kryer gjithsej 29 grabitje me pikënisje konviktet e studentëve në Universitetin Politeknik Zografou.

Konkretisht, banda e parë përbëhej nga 9 anëtarë dhe ishte përfshirë në 80 raste të trafikut të drogës. Banda e dytë listonte 24 anëtarë dhe kishte kryer 27 grabitje ndërsa banda e tretë kishte 18 anëtarë, ndërsa policia ende kërkon pesë persona të paidentifikuar.

Siç u konstatua, nga rastet e trafikut të drogës, 28 kanë ndodhur brenda ambienteve të universitetit.
