Trump: US has good relations with China

US President Donald Trump rejected accusations of hostile actions by China against the United States and assured that he has good relations with Beijing, at a time when the two countries agreed on a general framework for normalizing their trade disputes.

"We get along well with China. I think having a good relationship with China is a very good thing," the US president said in an interview with the Fox News television network.

Referring to the 145% tariffs imposed by Washington on imported Chinese products, a decision that has been frozen until August, the US president assured that everything stopped in China when the tariffs were temporarily imposed in April.

Beijing announced that it had confirmed the details of a trade deal with the US, ensuring that restrictions on Chinese products will be lifted and that it may approve an increase in exports./CNA
