Three Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza Strip

At least three Palestinians were killed today by Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian enclave's health authorities.

Medics reported that at least one person was killed and four others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a vehicle east of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. The vehicle was completely destroyed by the explosion.

Earlier in the day, another Israeli strike killed one person and wounded another in the town of Az-Zawayda. Meanwhile, a man was killed by Israeli gunfire in Khan Younis, south of Gaza. The Israeli military has not yet commented on these incidents.

The ceasefire that came into effect in October between Israel and Hamas, brokered by US President Donald Trump, has failed to completely halt Israeli attacks on Gaza.

Talks to implement the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which envisages the disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, have stalled without result. The Israeli army continues to control more than half of the territory of Gaza.

According to health authorities in Gaza, about 930 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire came into effect. These figures do not distinguish between civilians and armed fighters. On the other hand, according to the Israeli armed forces, four Israeli soldiers have been killed during the same period. /CNA
