Financial Times: US considering deploying nuclear weapons in European NATO

The US is considering deploying nuclear weapons in other European NATO member states, according to a report by the prestigious Financial Times.

As the British newspaper writes, citing sources familiar with the details, US officials have expressed a positive attitude towards further deployments beyond the six countries that already host aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

The move would include more countries hosting the so-called US Dual Capability Aircraft (DCA), which can carry nuclear strikes. However, the newspaper stressed that there is no agreement to expand the hosting of US nuclear weapons. /CNA
